Following  the Lib Dem campaign from the Brookside Focus Team, represented by Cllr Richard Giddings at County Hall, there have been several new Grit/Salt Bins nstalled at various locations around the Brookside Ward.  Your Local Lib Dems had been campaigning for extra bins in the area following last years faisco in the winter that left people stranded at home, unable to drive up the slippery icy roads.  On a ward partol recently, Mike & Richard noticed that amoungst the whole of Blackthorn, Lings & Lumbertubs there were only 3 grit bins, most of which were empty, but now there are more than triple that amount, stragically placed on or near particually hilly or risky areas.  Mike Fuller explained “after being told by the County Council that there was no money left for grit we decided to take action we have a result”.
