The Northampton Borough Council Planning Committee have backed the plans to build a Hindu temple and Community Centre on Lings Way.  The meeting, attended by Focus Team member Mike Fuller and Cllr Richard Giddings (Lib Dem, Lumbertubs) resulted in a unanimous descision by Councillors to recommend the application the the WNDC (West Northamptonshire Development Corporation) who will make the final descision.  After the approval was announced Mike & Richard spoke to Neelam Aggawal from the Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation who said “This facility will be for everybody, irrespetive of faith or belief and we welcome any comments or questions about the project”.  Mike Fuller said “This is a massive success for the area that, what I believe will be a national landmark will be in our area” he continued “I am looking forward to talking to residents and getting their thoughts on this”
