Mike Fuller attended a Community Clean Up at Cygnet Lake on Billing Brook Road yesterday.  The clean up, organised by the Brookside Residents Council was also attended by several residents and locals.  The clean up produced several backs of rubbish and litter from the lake and trees in the area, most of which were recyclable cans and bottles.  Mike said “I am shocked at the amount of litter and especially cans and glass bottles that are simply thrown into the hedges, despite there being bins at several points in the area”. He continued “The area is clearly used for outdoor drinking and the local PSCO’s who also attended were made aware of what we found”.

In all the clean up was a success and the Brookside Residents Council should be happy with the event.
